Overview
Spring Gardens is a supported living scheme of 7 self-contained apartments in Radcliffe, designed specifically for young people leaving care. It sits at a critical juncture – the moment when a young person transitions out of a structured environment and needs to start building an independent life.
The scheme was created in response to a real and pressing need: quality, compliant accommodation that gives young people their own front door, alongside the support infrastructure to help them use it well.
The Detail
The building provides 7 individual apartments, each designed to offer genuine privacy and independence, alongside the configuration needed to support 24/7 staffing. The layout strikes a deliberate balance – private enough to feel like home, connected enough to provide the support that residents still need.
From initial conversation through to completion, the scheme was delivered in just 7 weeks. That pace matters. Housing need doesn’t wait, and our ability to move quickly is part of what makes us useful to the people we work with.
The scheme operates as a progression model – helping residents move from higher-support environments into their own space, before eventually stepping on to fully independent living.
The Outcome
Spring Gardens gives young people something they rarely get: a real home of their own, at the point in life when it matters most. A safe place to build confidence, develop life skills, and take their first genuine steps towards independence. We’re proud it’s in Radcliffe.
